My colleague, Dr. Merrilee Fullerton, the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services visited the Bay of Quinte Aug. 10 to share news of our 2021 Budget commitment of an additional $240 million for treatment of children with special needs. That's $60 million a year over four years for service providers like the Quinte Children's Treatment Centre at QHC. Specifically, the local CTC will receive a $1.1 million more annually over the next four years (A 22-per-cent increase in their funding, the first of its kind in recent memory).
After our tour, Minister Fullerton and I headed over to the Quinte Field of Ability for an afternoon of fun with Quinte Challenger Baseball players.
