Consultations now open on proposed conservation reserve

I was pleased to invite my colleague David Piccini, MPP for Peterborough-Northumberland and Ontario's environment minister to the south shore of Prince Edward County, where our government is proposing to create Ontario's first new conservation reserve since 1999.  If approved, the designation would preserve the Ostrander Point Crown Land Block and Point Petre Provincial Wildlife Area for conservation and recreation.   Special thanks to the South Shore Joint Initiative, Nature Conservancy of Canada and Prince Edward County for their work on this project.

You can have your say about this proposal and future land uses in the area at by March 12.
